CONFIGURATION OF THE DAMAGE: obvious sagging in the floor of the pool and on the access stairs to the structure.
LITHOLOGICAL CONTEXT (from Z=0): heterogeneous surface filling materials, clays.
FOUNDATION STRUCTURE: reinforced concrete slab.
EXTENT OF PROCEDURE: approx. 40 sq.m.
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM: survey of crack pattern in order to identify the most seriously sagging areas with a laser level and floor-level receivers.
DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA: overlapping analysis of all the data measured.
DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE: the procedure was carried out subsequent to a survey using laser levelling and floor-level receivers over the entire footprint of the floor in order to get a clearer picture of the distribution and the degree of the subsidence-related sagging. We then proceeded to prepare the injection pipes in order to distribute the product in a network underneath the reinforced slab. The injections were made with the aid of the laser level in order to prevent side effects such as the breaking of the floor following the lifting of the structure treated, and the injections were, of course, made at the ground/reinforced slab interface with filling and tamping of the ground joists.
CONCLUSIONS: The procedure produced a void filling action with consequent tamping and compaction of the foundation.
