Our history

GEOSEC was founded in the early 2000s, with the aim of analyzing and understanding the behaviour of soils following expanding resin injections. Proponent of a new method for injecting expanding resin into the ground, in a short time GEOSEC®, revolutionized the sector’s outlook by improving the quality and above all the effectiveness of injections into the ground, carrying them out in a targeted and controlled way thanks to the innovative support of non-invasive diagnostic systems capable of reconstructing (unique in this sector) sequential 4D images of the soils under buildings, before, during and after injections.
The GEOSEC method makes it possible to monitor the work going on in the ground so as to direct consolidation to zones where it is needed, guaranteeing better uniformity of stabilization across soft and compact soils located under the same building. The results and success achieved over the years, thanks to the thousands of cases of subsidence we have definitively resolved, have allowed GEOSEC to gradually expand into many European countries, authoritatively gaining a position of technological leadership which is clearly illustrated by the creation of a concrete value and significant improvements in the industry for consolidating the ground using expanding resin injections. Reliability also recognized by various international insurance groups that certify our solutions with ten-year good workmanship warranty coverage.
This success has been further consolidated by the development of new exclusive and patented applications with increasingly higher levels of performance and precision to the benefit of existing buildings, territories and the civil and scientific communities, with particular regard to seismic safety. This is why today GEOSEC is the reference brand in targeted consolidation using resin injections in the ground.

2003

GEOSEC, THE ORIGINS OF SUCCESS FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.

It was on February 11, 2003, in the small province of Parma, Italy, best known for its renowned gastronomic, cultural and artistic excellences, that GEOSEC foundation engineering was born. Around that time expanding resins were being injected into the ground under foundations to raise buildings. Bores were made at almost set distances and the expanding resins were injected in an attempt to lift structures. Back then, the only visible effect of these procedures was the closure of cracks in the walls, but what was really going on below ground? Had the resin really been laid to be effective over time? Had it spread correctly through the ground? Had the gaps and excess interstitial waters, often the cause of subsidence, really been filled and displaced? How was it possible to find out and verify what was happening under the buildings without being able to excavate or move the house? It was in seeking an answer to these simple and banal questions that GEOSEC filed the first of its many successful sector patents. The GEOSEC method was born, thanks to integration of resin injections with 3D tomographic control of the electrical resistivity of the ground. “To inject and at the same time control what is happening in the ground through non-destructive electronic images”. In so doing, it quickly became evident that it really was possible to intervene in an even more informed, precise and controlled way. Over time, with experience, millions of processed data and thousands of operations performed, the GEOSEC method became “the method”, a reference point that was widely appreciated, recognized and imitated. The GEOSEC method undoubtedly represented a real revolution in the sector, introducing greater technological investments into daily construction site operations and therefore greater professional expertise. It was undoubtedly a positive stimulus for the entire reference sector, raising the bar of technological competition to the benefit of solutions, clients and the market. Whereas for us at GEOSEC, nearly all engineers and geologists, it has always and simply been a philosophy of doing ethical business for people, offering concrete and professional answers together with increasingly reliable and precise solutions, so much so that today the GEOSEC method is recognized in every country where it is applied by professionals and engineers and technical control and validation institutes have fully sanctioned its technological standing. That said, for the GEOSEC partners, engineers Marco Occhi, Andrea Occhi and Daniele Gualerzi, the best recognition is, and always has been, the broad consensus received from the company’s client friends acquired in more than 20 years of responsible activity.
